US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel set to resign.

Mr Hagel, 68, a Vietnam war veteran and former senator, He is a Republican from Nebraska, was elected to the Senate in 1996 and retired in 2008,became defense secretary in 2013.He is reportedly resiging amid a shift in US military strategy to fight Islamic State (ISIS), The New York Times first reported.
