Who says the crazy fun stops when you get older? To celebrate his 90th birthday, former President George H.W. Bush went skydiving. Yes, skydiving! Who knew the 41st President was such a daredevil?A cake and ice cream party is just SO boring. Former US President George H.W. Bush turned 90 years old on June 12 and the former 41st President went skydiving out of a helicopter near his summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine, to celebrate the big occasion.
Even though he’s battled various illnesses including a form a Parkinson’s disease and severe bronchitis (which kept him in the hospital for about seven weeks), the former Commander in Chief made the most of his 90th birthday by making a tandem jump this morning with Mike Elliott, a retired member of the Army’s parachute team The Golden Knights, according to The Boston Globe.
The former President tweeted about his wild jump early this morning! ‘‘It’s a wonderful day in Maine — in fact, nice enough for a parachute jump,’’ George H.W. tweeted to his 118,000 followers.
The former POTUS will also have a more mellow celebration for his birthday, according to CNN. He’ll have a birthday dinner with about 200 family and friends and a performance by Ronan Tynan, an Irish tenor, to honor another year.Culled from Hollywoodgossip.
