Members of Kebbi House of Assembly Impeaches Speaker At 10:25pm

Hon. Habib Musa Jega the speaker of Kebbi State House of Assembly has been impeached and replaced with Hon. Mohammed Shalla Gwandu  as the new speaker who was sworn in by the clerk of the House, Shehu Usman Randali.The impeachment took place at about 10:25 PM at the house of Assembly complex in Birnin Kebbi was signed by 16 members out of 24 members of the House of Assembly.
According to LeadershipNews the New House speaker thanked its members and said,
“I thank all the members for the confidence they have in me and promise to wok harmoniously with both the state government and members of the House so that our people will reap dividends of democracy,”
The former speaker was impeached as quoted by one of the members ,he said “The reason is just incompetence and members have no confidence in him any longer.”
