Lupita Nyong'o was the keynote speaker at the Massachusetts Conference for Women in Boston yesterday Thursday. While discussing her Child hood and her dreams of becoming an actress while living in her remote African country Kenya the Kenya-America Actress broke out in tears,She stated,
"What I wanted more than anything was to make believe for a living," "When I watched The Color Purple and watched Oprah and Whoopi Goldberg, a seed was planted in my heart to becoming an actor, but I dared not water it in public."Although acting was not a "viable career path" in Kenya in the 80's but she stood her grounds, she also stated,
"Nobody I knew around me was acting for a living. In school, it wasn't one of the professions you learned about,""It didn’t help that we only had one TV station and it aired very boring programming as a child."
This is what i call determination. She was determined and she got what she wanted in life.Congrats girl.Picture of she and her Mum,
