Nigerian closes all borders ahead of election


It has been announced by the Interior Ministry announced today Wednesday that from midnight 25th of March 2015 that with effect from today all our land and sea boarders will be closed until after the presidential election on the 28th of March 2015.

It was contained and released in a statement by the permanent secretary to the ministry of Interiors, Abubakar Magaji, said the borders would be closed “to allow for the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming national elections”.

The Nigeria Immigration Service has also been directed to ensure that non-Nigerians do not participate in any part of the election process.
