The Adamawa state governor, Bala Ngilari took a recklessness decision to the detriment of the poor masses to purchase two Lexus SUVs said to be bought at an outrageous prize of N180 Million, and two Hilux pick up vans at N400 Million.This singular decision by the state governor have triggered outrage from members of the state House of Assembly.
The members of the house Assembly has passed a resolution inviting the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to probe the purchases.According to the Matters of Urgent Public Importance resolutions raised by the Deputy Speaker, Kwamoti Laori, he opened up to the house that that the reason why the state government sacked the Director General of the state Public Procurement Bureau was for his whistle-blowing on the executive recklessness.
Laori also stated that the Lexus SUVs were used ones and not brand new and said during an online research which he conducted a used Lexus armored car can go for about $120,000, a new one usually sells for less than $200,000.
