Gen.Buhari Orders personal aides, security personnel to obey traffic rules

This is called leadership by example.President Elect Gen.Buhari has chosen to demonstrate his leadership style by instructing police,Military and all security personnel attached to him to always obey and respect traffic regulations during his movements.This was disclosed in a statement release by his media team in Abuja.He stated that respect for the law would be the guiding philosophy of his incoming administration.He added,

“without leadership by example, the ordinary citizens would become copycats of the lawlessness of their leaders”.
The President-elect explained that the “arrogance of power, lawlessness and disregard for the rights and convenience of fellow citizens would have no place in his government”.


He further disclosed that for leaders to command respect of those they are leading they must first respect the law without treating the law with contempt.if the do they might send the wrong signal to the citizens.

 He also advised his military and police security personnel to be in tune with his philosophy of “bringing the rule of law in the conduct of leaders during their movements on public roads.”
