I forgive Akwa-Ibom people - Gov.Akpabio

Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State who described his people as ungrateful  for their blackmail and false reports towards him after all he did to develop and transform the state during his eight years tenure as governor has said he forgives them for their actions against him.

He made the statement at the Ibom Hall, Uyo, during the valedictory thanksgiving service organised in his honour by the state government as part of the transition activities to his successor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel,

He said: “I forgive you of your many sins against me, for your betrayal, false reports, blackmail, and ingratitude towards my efforts at developing the state. I forgive you because I bear no grudge against anyone.

“As a young man, I devoted my time and did my best for the development of the state. I am going back a fulfilled man without paying attention to what people may have said against me.”
