Ignore the call for stripping Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala of the Doctorate of Humane Letters

Some mischievous people wrote a petition signed by more than 1000 people and sent to Yale University to strip Dr.Okonjo-Iweala of the Doctorate Degree awarded to her.Find here.

Some people from some other quarters and some Nigerians have reacted to the petition and have also appealed to the Institution to ignore the call for stripping her of the Doctorate Degree based on the fact that she has contributed her part to the Nigeria Economy and performed very well while with the World Bank.

They assume the call to strip her off her award was motivated and laced with political victimization, orchestrated by those who are peeved at her achievements.

One Ogbonnaya Agwu LAGOS. who supported the call for Yale University to Ignore the petition commented on the post by Change.org wrote,

"I'm signing this petition because the call to strip her of the honorary doctorate is obviously born out of tribal hatred and a blatant display of frustration by former beneficiaries of corruption including those affected by the successful biometrics sanitization of the federal civil service which resulted in flushing out more than 60,000 ghost workers. The corrupt are angry and they are surely fighting back at their scourge. Common Yale! Say a big no to them! Thank you. "
