Lone Nepalese Billionaire to Construct 10,000 Houses for Quake Victims

Binod Chaudhary the only Billionaire in Nepal is out to give new life to some of the Nepalese earthquake victims.The chairman of Chaudhary Group will construct 1,000 homes with its own resources and will partner with other donor organisations to construct remaining 9,000 homes in the next six months period.

These transitional houses will cost approximately USD 700 each, Chaudhary said.
These house will be built in 14 districts across the country and they will abide by international building norms, he said.

The flats will be constructed with the technical support from Sustainable Environment and Ecological Development Society (SEEDS) India, which has experience in building low cost houses in India and other South Asian countries
