President Elect Gen.Buhari sends Atiku to President Zuma to lobby for Minister Adesina

President Elect in a bid to secure a Nigerian to be the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB).The Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was sent over the weekend to go and meet with the President of South Africa to use his contact and lobby him so that Minister of Agriculture, Akinwumi Adesina will be the chosen candidate for the post. Atiku took to his Instagram account to share a picture and a message which states that he is in South Africa with the Minister of Agriculture and the President of South Africa.He wrote,

"Meeting with @SAPresident, and Nigeria's candidate for president for African Development Bank, Dr Adesina in Durban "

In a statement issued by the Atiku Media Office in Abuja said,

“His Excellency former Vice President Atiku Abubakar met President Zuma in the company of Dr Akinwumi Adesina during which the directive of President-elect General Muhammadu Buhari was conveyed to Zuma,”
 “The issue of South Africa and the Southern African region support for Nigeria’s candidate was exhaustively discussed and well appreciated.”
